Qualifying Criteria
Qualification criteria: professional experience
Randstad Education sponsorship is only available to candidates who hold a permanent position within a primary school in England and Wales. The sponsorship is available to:
- Qualified primary teachers with at least three years' experience
- Qualified special needs teachers with at least two years' experience of working with children who have special educational needs. In some placements it would be helpful to know Braille or sign language
- Qualified education managers from a primary background with three to five years of senior or middle management experience.
Placement duration
Placements will be for a three-month period in Ghana.
Placement timing
Randstad Education sponsorship is only available to candidates applying through this initiative for education placements commencing 11th September 2011, 8th January 2012 and 7th May 2012.
Application deadline
The application process is in two stages, as detailed at http://www.vso.org.uk/volunteer/apply-now/eligibility/apply.asp. The first stage must be completed by Monday 11th April 2011.
Process
All applications must be submitted through VSO's website at http://www.vso.org.uk/volunteer/apply-now. All applicants must select 'Randstad in the business partnership field and type 'Global Skills Share in the following field.
Terms and Conditions
All applications will be subject to VSO's standard assessment and selection process and will operate according to VSO's standard terms and conditions.
School involvement
Candidates must provide written consent from their schools agreeing to the individual undertaking a placement prior to attending the VSO assessment day.

Applicants must be available to attend a VSO assessment day when invited.
Randstad Education sponsorship
Randstad Education sponsorship is available to three candidates and will involve Randstad Education providing supply cover to the candidates' schools free of charge for the full three months of the placement.
