Description

SEN Teachers and Learning Support Assistants required - Autism experience essential

Randstad Education is looking to recruit a number of Teachers and Teaching Assistants for an independent specialist SEN school in north west London. Roles are initially short-term, with the possibility of ongoing placements.

The school, which caters for Autistic students at both primary and secondary key stages, offers access to the national curriculum for all students. It has a strong emphasis on creative, visual activities and there are regular class trips and lessons based in the schools' garden. Rated "good" in its' most recent OFSTED report, it is well resourced and close to Greater London public transport links.

Successful candidates will be proactive, and passionate about supporting the learning of students with Autism. and will have recent experience working with children with ASD and related developmental disorders. Strong communication skills are essential and experience with using Picture Exchange Communication System, TEACCH and Makaton will be advantageous.

All appointments are subject to full Safer Recruitment vetting procedures including enhanced CRB disclosure.
