Description

Cover Supervisors required in Leeds Schools to start immediately

Randstad Education are currently looking for Cover Supervisors for daily supply to schools in the Leeds area. This will be on a ad-hoc basis as and when required.

You will be required to cover lessons without supervision and ideally have some experience of this. There is a high level of responsibility and although there is always a teacher close at hand if needed, there is a large amount of autonomy. A cover supervisor is likely to be used for short-term absences of a teacher.

A cover supervisor is likely to be used for short-term absences of a teacher. On a daily basis, cover supervision is more than likely to include:

Supervising work that has been set in accordance with the school policy Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment
Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures
Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the schools policies and procedures
Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher
Reporting back as appropriate using the schools agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising.

If you have had experience working in a classroom, and wish to explore this fascinating career avenue, then please get in contact with us. The ideal person will be resilient, adaptable, be able to think on their feet at all times and flexible.
