Every Child Matters Quality Mark

Every Child Matters Quality Mark

Education recruitment specialists team up with the Teaching and Learning Consultancy

Hull, 22nd April 2009

The Every Child Matters Quality Mark allows schools to gain recognition for attaining the five outcomes to raise achievement: achieve economic wellbeing, stay safe, make a positive contribution, stay healthy, enjoy and achieve.

As part of its ongoing commitment to Hull schools and the local community, Randstad Education's Hull office hosted an Every Child Matters Quality Mark launch event for schools across the Hull and East Riding area. Working with the Teaching and Learning consultancy, this Quality Mark aims to introduce a standard to schools, focusing on their ability to enhance the local community by initiating and developing working relationships with a full range of partners and harnessing these to improve the achievement of vulnerable learners across the full range of age, ability and need.

The launch set out to explain what the Every Child Matters Quality Mark is, why schools should work towards it and how the standard can be achieved. Attracting a number of Headteachers, Governors, SENCOs and Team Managers from many schools in and around Hull and East Riding, the launch day also featured presentations about Senior Management roles and responsibility within the Inclusion Development Programme (IDP) and a perspective from Randstad Education's own Child Protection Officer on keeping children safe.

Nicky Night, Business Manager at Randstad Education's Hull Office comments: 'The aim of this event was to provide attendees with a detailed understanding of how Every Child Matters impacts upon schools. The information shared at this launch event was well received by the attendees, leading to a better understanding of this Government programme and we very much hope that these schools will aim to become accredited with this Quality Mark, thereby improving their students' learning experience.'

If you wish to find out more about how your school can become accredited, please contact your local Randstad Education office.
