• teaching assistants and learning support staff

  Teaching assistants are now just as necessary a part of the school staff team as teachers. Teaching assistants work with teachers in the classroom, helping pupils progress with their learning. With guidance from a teacher, teaching assistants can also take responsibility for whole class teaching in certain circumstances.

• pupil support staff

  Pupil support staff are responsible for the welfare of pupils during break, lunchtime and outside school hours, often invaluable in extended school arrangements.
